In praise of fine men

Panni Palasti

let me sing this song

in praise of

all the fine men

trying to do their best

morning and night

rising to the ring

of alarm clocks

cell phones

beeps and

the clang of church bells

to dash to work

obeying laws

and red lights

dealing with banks

doctors' bills

leaky roofs

coughing cars

tooth fairies

tired wives

but who still

take the time

to notice

to marvel

at falling stars
